Cold chain
Unbroken cold chain from pickup to delivery
A broken cold chain often makes a shipment unusable. A vaccine that has been above 8°C for an hour, a blood sample that thaws, a tray of chilled meals that sits too long in a warm car, in healthcare, biotech and food these are costly problems. We understand that and have built our cold chain processes around it.
Our cool boxes are pre-cooled and only opened at the recipient. For 2–8°C medication we use validated packaging with cooling elements that hold this temperature for up to 24 hours. For frozen shipments (-20°C or lower) we work with dry ice in insulated boxes. Our couriers load, transport and unload according to fixed protocols, with the cool box placed in a shaded position in the vehicle.
For clients with strict requirements we can place temperature loggers in the shipment. The logger records the temperature every minute and the data is available digitally for your quality file. For pharmaceutical clients we work according to Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines.
